“For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.” — 2 Corinthians 4:5
Dear Friends and Partners,
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support as we continue seeking to fulfill the Great Commission by evangelizing the lost and equipping believers to confidently share the gospel. The past several weeks have been filled with wonderful opportunities to proclaim Christ, train His people, and watch God open doors for meaningful gospel conversations.
Los Angeles World Cup Outreach
This June, I had the privilege of leading a special evangelistic opportunity surrounding the opening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Los Angeles. As thousands gathered from nations around the world, believers first came together to get equipped with evangelism training before heading into the harvest field at the SoFi Stadium in L.A. to share the gospel.
The World Cup provided a unique reminder that God often brings the nations to our doorstep. Through gospel conversations, tract distribution, and public proclamation, we sought to faithfully lift high the name of Jesus Christ among people from many different backgrounds and cultures. We were encouraged by the openness of many and reminded that while we plant and water, God alone gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:7).
Equipping Believers at the Ambassadors’ Academy
Another highlight of the month was teaching and leading a team at Living Waters’ Ambassadors’ Academy in Southern California. This intensive evangelism training brought together believers from across the United States and beyond for classroom instruction, mentorship, fellowship, and hands-on outreach. I was blessed to teach on the topic “How to Reach those in World Religions”.
It was a tremendous encouragement to spend several days focused on Christ, learning practical ways to engage people with the gospel while also putting those lessons into immediate practice through street witnessing. Events like these remind us that ordinary Christians can become effective ambassadors for Christ when they are equipped, encouraged, and grounded in Scripture.
Boone County Fair Gospel Booth Outreach
From June 22–27, we hosted a Gospel Booth at the Boone County Fair. Throughout the week, hundreds of fairgoers passed by our booth, creating opportunities for prayer, gospel conversations, and the distribution of Christ-centered resources. Many people stopped to request prayer, ask spiritual questions, or simply learn more about the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. We were also able to distribute gospel tracts, evangelistic DVDs, books, and other resources designed to point people to Christ. It was a joy to see believers of varying experience levels participate in evangelism and discover that God can use anyone who is willing to be faithful.
Training the Next Generation
One of the most encouraging opportunities this month was teaching the youth group at Burlington Baptist Church. We spent time focusing on personal evangelism and learning how to use the Gospel Roadmap to share Christ with friends, classmates, teammates, and family members. The students were attentive, engaged, and eager to learn practical ways to communicate the gospel. My prayer is that these young believers will develop a lifelong passion for reaching others with the good news of Jesus Christ and that God will use them as faithful witnesses in their schools and communities. As Paul instructed Timothy, it is exciting to see young people growing in their confidence to proclaim the truth of God’s Word and becoming bold ambassadors for Christ.
Looking Ahead: America’s 250th Celebration in Washington, D.C.
This week we will be participating in a special gospel outreach during America’s 250th anniversary celebration in Washington, D.C. While our nation reflects on freedom and liberty, we have an extraordinary opportunity to point people to the greater freedom found only in Jesus Christ.
The outreach includes inspiriational gospel training followed by gospel ministry on the National Mall, where more than one million visitors are expected to gather for the festivities. Please pray for divine appointments, boldness, and clear gospel conversations as we seek to proclaim the only freedom that truly saves.
Upcoming Gospel Mission to Japan
In July, we will also embark on a significant gospel mission to Korea, Osaka, Kyoto, and Okinawa. This outreach will focus on sharing Christ through personal conversations, public evangelism, tract distribution, fellowship, and ministry opportunities connected to a karate tournament in Okinawa. We are also partnering with numerous local churches to equip them to spread the gospel as well.
Japan remains a nation with tremendous spiritual need, and we are grateful for the opportunity to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to people who may have never clearly heard the gospel. Please pray for safe travel, open doors, receptive hearts, and faithful proclamation of God’s Word throughout the trip.
Prayer Requests
Please pray:
- For those who heard the gospel during the World Cup outreach and Boone County Fair outreach.
- For the youth at Burlington Baptist Church as they begin applying what they learned through the Gospel Roadmap.
- For boldness, wisdom, and safety during the Washington, D.C. outreach.
- For open hearts and fruitful gospel conversations throughout our upcoming ministry trip to Japan.
- That God would continue raising up laborers for His harvest field.
