As our country celebrates freedom, we have an incredible opportunity to point people to a far greater freedom—the freedom that comes through Jesus Christ. While America enjoys national liberty and God-given rights, these are only a reflection of an eternal reality. True and lasting freedom is not secured by governments or preserved by human effort—it is found only in Christ.

Scripture reminds us:

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” (Galatians 5:1)

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

This is the message our nation—and the nations gathered in D.C.—desperately need to hear.
