When the Streets Are Full, Let the Gospel Be Heard

Evangelistic Training & Gospel Outreach | May 7–9 | Pella, Iowa
Every spring, the small town of Pella becomes a gathering place for the nations. Streets fill with color, music, tradition—and people. During Tulip Time, thousands line the parade routes each day, families shoulder to shoulder, hearts open to celebration. What an opportunity for the gospel.
From May 7–9, we will gather for a Christ-centered evangelistic training and gospel outreach designed to equip believers and send them into the harvest—right into the middle of Tulip Time. Over three days, we will proclaim Christ clearly and compassionately during two parades each day, placing the good news directly into the hands of people God has already gathered.
This event is not just about activity—it’s about faithful obedience. Each day will begin with biblical training focused on gospel clarity, love for the lost, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. We want participants to feel confident, not because of techniques, but because of the power of the gospel. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” (Romans 1:16)
You will be trained to:
- Clearly explain the gospel in everyday conversations
- Share Christ with humility, boldness, and compassion
- Engage families, children, and individuals in a joyful public setting
Tulip Time features two parades per day, creating six prime outreach opportunities over the course of the event. Parades are uniquely accessible—people are relaxed, children are engaged, and conversations flow naturally. Gospel tracts, personal conversations, and prayer all become simple and effective ways to point people to Christ. We will joyfully step into the streets, not to argue or pressure, but to lift up Christ and invite people to consider the eternal hope found in Him alone.
One of the beauties of parade evangelism is how accessible it is for all ages. Families can serve together. New believers can take part. Seasoned saints can encourage and model faithfulness. This is the church on mission—side by side. Our prayer is not only that unbelievers will hear the gospel, but that believers will be strengthened, encouraged, and reminded that evangelism is not a program—it is a way of life.
We are trusting the Lord to do what only He can do: open hearts, grant repentance, and save sinners. We will sow faithfully, pray earnestly, and give all glory to God, whatever the visible results may be. “So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.” (1 Corinthians 3:7)
Join us this May in Pella, Iowa, as we proclaim Christ during Tulip Time. Come be equipped. Come be sent. Come rejoice in the privilege of making Jesus known. “The harvest is plentiful…” (Matthew 9:37)
