SUMMARY:Holding Forth the Word of Life at the Boone County Fair Gospel Booth and Outreach
DESCRIPTION:From June 22–27\, we have a wonderful opportunity to step into a joyful and sober calling: to make Christ known. During the fair\, we will host a gospel booth dedicated to prayer\, conversations\, and sharing the good news of forgiveness through Jesus Christ with those who are lost. God\, in His providence\, gathers the crowds. Our role is simply to be faithful—speaking truth with compassion\, offering hope\, and trusting Him with the results. \nThroughout the week\, visitors will be able to stop by and receive free Christ-centered resources\, including: \n\nGospel tracts\nEvangelistic DVDs\nBooks from Answers in Genesis\nOther materials designed to point hearts to the message of salvation\n\nThese items are not ends in themselves—they are tools to open conversations and clearly present the gospel. Our desire is to engage each person with kindness and clarity\, sharing the good news of forgiveness of sins through repentance and faith. \nPrayer will be the heartbeat of this outreach. Some interactions may be brief\, others more personal. Many people simply need someone to listen or pray with them. Whether conversations are long or short\, every moment matters. Even if you don’t feel confident sharing verbally\, you can play a vital role by praying—quietly nearby or directly with those who request it. No act of faithful obedience is small in God’s kingdom. \nWe would love for you to take part in any way you can: \n\nHelp man the booth for an evening\nStop by to share the gospel\nSpend time praying for people\nCome to watch\, learn\, and grow in confidence\n\nThis outreach is intentionally simple and accessible. Whether you have years of evangelism experience or are just beginning\, there is a place for you. Feel free to forward this invitation to other believers who may want to participate or learn more about sharing their faith. \nWe do not know how God will use each conversation\, tract\, or prayer—but we know He is at work. Some may walk away thoughtful. Some may not be interested. And some\, by God’s grace\, may hear the gospel clearly and believe. Our confidence rests not in our efforts\, but in the Lord who saves. \nOur prayer for June 22–27 is simple: \n\nThat Christ would be exalted\nThat believers would be edified\nThat sinners would be evangelized\nAnd that God alone would receive all the glory\n\nMay God be glorified during this outreach as we hold forth the Word of Life.
