SUMMARY:Preaching Christ Where the World Is Watching: 2026 Los Angeles World Cup Outreach
DESCRIPTION:In June 2026\, the eyes of the world will turn to Los Angeles. Nations will gather. Anthems will be sung. Crowds will gather for the first match of the FIFA World Cup. And before the first whistle ever blows\, the gospel of Jesus Christ will already be going forth. \nOn Thursday June 11th\, believers will be equipped through intensive evangelistic training at Calvary Chapel Anaheim. Then\, on Friday June 12\, as tens of thousands gather for the first World Cup match of 2026 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles\, the church will step into the harvest—proclaiming Christ boldly and lovingly from 4pm–6pm. \nBefore we go out to the crowds\, we will sit under biblical\, Christ-exalting instruction on how to share the gospel. The FREE witnessing training will focus on practical evangelism methods\, dependence on the Holy Spirit\, and confidence rooted not in ourselves\, but in the power of God’s Word. This training is designed to prepare believers for real conversations with real people from all over the world—men and women who may never have heard the gospel clearly before. \nThe World Cup is more than a sporting event—it is a global mission field. People from every nation\, language\, and background will gather in one place. God has already drawn the crowds. Our task is to be faithful with the message of the gospel. \nGospel Equip is hosting a large-scale outreach two hours before the match kickoff of 6pm\, providing structure\, encouragement\, and practical tools for evangelism. Those witnessing with them will receive their newly created World Cup million-dollar bill gospel tracts\, freely given by Living Waters to help spark gospel conversations. \nAt the venue\, there will be multiple opportunities for evangelism\, including: \n\nStreet evangelism and one-on-one conversations\nOn-the-box preaching\, lifting Christ high in public proclamation\nTract distribution\, placing the gospel directly into eager hands\n\nGospel Equip will be joining this outreach with one clear purpose: to faithfully proclaim Christ to the thousands gathered outside SoFi Stadium. We are not going to build a name\, but to exalt His name. Not trusting merely methods\, crowds\, or momentum—but trusting in Christ who saves. \nSome may mock us and ignore the truth that we have to share. But some\, by God’s grace\, will hear the good news and believe. The results belong to the Lord. Our joy is simply obedience. Like it says in 1 Corinthians 3:7\, “So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything\, but only God who gives the growth.” \nAs the world gathers for soccer\, Christ’s church will gather for His glory. As nations cheer for a goal\, we will proclaim the greatest victory ever won—the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Please RSVP below for the witnessing training or gospel outreach. \nBelow is a map of the Stadium. We plan to have teams in three locations around the perimeter of the stadium for handing out gospel tracts\, getting into Christ centered conversations\, and open air preaching. We will try to carpool up to Inglewood as much as possible\, most likely meeting at Calvary Chapel Anaheim at noon on Friday. Getting up to the Stadium around 2-2:30p and then giving out the gospel until 5:30p or so. If you can’t make it\, please earnestly pray that the Lord would raise up workers for His harvest! Thanks.
