SUMMARY:Witnessing Workshop & Winter Jam Gospel Outreach
DESCRIPTION:Jesus’ final words before His ascension were not given to professionals only\, but to ordinary believers who had been transformed by extraordinary grace: “You will be My witnesses” (Acts 1:8). \nThat calling still stands today. In a world filled with noise\, opinions\, and uncertainty\, the simple\, powerful message of who Jesus is and what He has done remains the only true hope. That’s why we’re inviting you to take part in two connected opportunities: a Witnessing Workshop and a Gospel Outreach at the Winter Jam concert\, where thousands will be waiting in long lines—open moments God often uses to open hearts. \nBefore we go out\, we want to be built up. \nThe Witnessing Workshop will be at Wildwood Chapel about an hour north of Columbus\, OH and is designed to center our hearts and minds on the gospel itself—Christ crucified for sinners and risen in victory. This is not about pressure\, gimmicks\, or winning arguments. It’s about understanding the message we carry and learning how to share it with clarity\, humility\, and love. \nTogether\, we’ll focus on: \n\nThe person and finished work of Jesus Christ\nThe biblical gospel of grace alone through faith alone\nHow to start natural gospel conversations\nHow to listen well and speak truth with compassion\nHow to trust the Holy Spirit with the results\n\nWhether you feel confident in evangelism or hesitant and unsure\, this workshop is for you. We want you to leave encouraged\, equipped\, and reminded that God delights to use weak vessels to display His strength. \nThen comes the beautiful next step: going out together. \nWinter Jam concerts draw massive crowds\, and with them come long lines—lines filled with people standing\, waiting\, and often willing to talk. These moments are not interruptions; they are divine appointments. While many are coming for music\, we will be there to lovingly point people to the Savior the songs proclaim. \nAs we engage people in line at the Schottenstein Center on the Ohio State University campus\, we’ll share the good news that: \n\nGod is holy and righteous\nWe are sinners in need of mercy\nJesus lived the perfect life we could not live\nJesus died the death we deserved\nJesus rose again\, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who repent and believe\n\nWe won’t rely on our eloquence. We’ll rely on the gospel\, which is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). \nEvery line holds eternal souls. Every conversation matters. And every believer has been entrusted with the message of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18–20). \nThis outreach isn’t about counting conversations or patting ourselves on the back. It’s about obedience\, love for the lost\, and faithfulness to Christ. Some may hear and walk away. Others may hear and believe. All outcomes belong to the Lord. \nCome be equipped. \nCome be encouraged. \nCome be sent. \nJoin us for the Witnessing Workshop\, and then stand shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow believers as we share Jesus with people waiting in Winter Jam lines—trusting God to do what only He can do. \n“How will they hear without someone preaching?” (Romans 10:14) \nLet’s go together.
